The most beautiful pony
Lorelock Birthday Belle, described by a knowledable person as the most beautiful pony in the world, is harking in ...
Lorelock Warmblood Stud is committed to breeding quality Warmblood horses with proven pedigrees to excel in showjumping, dressage and eventing.
The stud is situated on the farms Panfontein and Geschenk near Schweizer-Reneke in the Northwest Province where our horses grow up in herds, grazing in mineral-rich fields. Our horses are good-natured and tough with excellent bone and hoof quality.
Named after the family’s famous Locklore Santa Gertrudis cattle stud, the Lorelock Warmblood Stud was established in 1999. The first foal born on the farm, aptly named Lorelock Locklore, is now in the open showjumping classes, with many others coming up the grades in all equestrian disciplines. Stud stallion Lorelock Rivale d’Or is now in the 120cm showjumping classes, while stud stallion Branic Prince Fyodore, born and raised on the farm, has just started his showjumping and dressage career. (See the stallion pages for more information.)
Lorelock Stud's horses are backed and trained by professional riders in Gauteng.
Lorelock Stud currently offers progeny from Branic Belmondo, Always One, Hakahana Akito, Davenport Wedekind, Nelson van de Helle, Cassius and Branic Prince Fyodore.
Our mares are mostly by Wachmann III, Wedekind, Rivale D’Or, Sabastian, Lindenberg, Ubergabe and Branic Belmondo. Thoroughbred mares with pedigrees that include Freedom Land, Noble Chieftain, Grey Sovereign, Lucy's Axe and Esplendor are also used.
