PEDIGREE :

Wedekind's sire Wachmann III bred the most A grade showjumpers in South Africa, followed by his dam sire Dolerit. Both Wachmann III and Dolerit sired Derby winners. Like his sire Wachmann III Wedekind is beginning to prove himself as a dam sire of note.

Wedekind was licensed by the SA Warmblood Society as a three year old. He covered a very limited number of mares in the Eastern Cape. Of this crop, Wanganella, Windjammer, Welbevonden and War Horse jumped A grade while Wellaway, was a B grade showjumper, an open eventer, an advanced dressage horse and won the compleat horse at the SA Derby.

Wedekind was put back to stud in 2001, again to a limited number of mares. Of this crop Wedepruf is already jumping in the open classes.
